Services for Myrtle Marie Smith, 78, of 1709 N. 28th St., who died Tuesday in a Boise Hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, in Alden-Waggoner Chapel by the Rev. Donn Plew of the Baptist Temple Church. Interment will be in Dry Creek Cemetery with lodge rites by Purity Rebekah Lodge No. 67.
She was born Aug. 9, 1903, in Sumpter, Ore. She lived in Oregon and Washington and then in her early teens moved to the Boise area. She graduated from Boise High School. She married William Smith on Sept. 1, 1923, in Boise. She operated a beauty shop in her home for a number of years. She was a member of the Baptist Temple Church, Purity Rebekah Lodge No. 67 and the Sunshine Club.
Survivors include her husband and a daughter, Linda Sutton, both of Boise; three sisters, Greeta Stritmatter of Aberdeen, Wash., Alice Davis of Bangor, Maine, and Elsie Kingsmith of Cottage Grove, Ore., a brother, Norman Adkins of Nampa; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold, and a sister, Violet.
Friends may call at Alden-Waggoner Chapel from noon to 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the Baptist Temple Church or Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise.
