Alice T RUTHERFORD

Alice Rutherford was born in Jedborough, Scotland on July 5, 1849 on lived there until she was 6 years old. She moved with her parents to Harvey, New Brunswick. She married Thomas M'Allen at Federickton, New Brunswick on October 1, 1870. They moved to New Hampshire in 1871. They moved to Oconto, Wisconsin in 1876. In 1877 they started a home in the wilds of Oconto County, Wisconsin in what is know as the Town of Armstrong. The M'Allen's were the first settlers in the town and she was the first white woman to make her home there. Her last words were -- "I have finished my course and kept the faith." She died December 2, 1906.
Alice married Thomas McALLEN on 1 Oct 1870 in Frederickton, New Brunswick. (Thomas McALLEN was born in 1840 and died in 1920.)
